NaNowriMo 2011 - Time is Running Out

Picking up where Tme We Saw a Miracle left off, Chip and his companions try to rebuild their lives with the apocalupse at the borders of their camp. As destructive forces srengthen around them, allies come out from unexpected places. This is not the best time to fall in love with an angel.

Sequel to Time We Saw a Miracle (2010) and Time For Something Biblical (2009)

I don't know if I should be putting a comment here, or if this is how you do it, so if not, I sincerely apologize.
I just wanted to say that I just finished reading Time for Something Biblical and Time We Saw a Miracle these last three days of illness (I think I downloaded them over a year ago) and they are completely amazing. I googled your name and found you here. I was completely overjoyed to find that you had written another one! I've downloaded it now and can't wait to read it. :)

Please, feel free to comment to your heart's content here! Or if you'd prefer, you can always send me a message via LiveJournal.

Thank you so, so much for reading and for your kind words! I don't get much feedback on these, so I'm always surprised, thankful and very happy to hear back from readers. I hope you like this one too.

Oh, I loved it! And a cliffhanger!?
Time is Running Out is awesome. Going from the end backwards, I loved the ministories. I liked the two with Agatha and Saunders especially. I found the story of Agatha in Chip and Icarus' bed really, really cute for some reason. I like Agatha.
I want to learn more about Dean's actual thoughts about Chip and Icarus' relationship. We've only seen his emotions so far. I actually know barely anything about the Supernatural universe, but your stories seem to stand on their own as far as I can tell.
The cut from Chip and Icarus in bed to Kezef torturing an angel? Thoroughly jarring and -perfect-.
I like Crowley. He's a familiar character from Good Omens, and I just overall like the idea that demons on earth would seem a lot more comfortable and human than angels would.
I like the small snippets of side characters that we see living out all the different possible lives in the apocalypse.
I like Crowley, again. And his dog. I like how he seems to be thoroughly accepting of being hated and mistrusted without hating in return, but he also manages to work with Icarus and the humans without much trouble--he is a very adaptable demon.
I wonder if you'll bring back the female demon with the creepy smile again--being exploded by Kezef only slowed her down, so maybe getting a knife through her chest won't do much more.
The sexual tension is very well written.
I like how Icarus listened to Agatha, and that she still talks to him as long as he pretends to be asleep, now that she knows he can hear.
...And that's all the way to the beginning. Long story short, I like your book very much. It sounds like you plan to write more, what with the cliffhanger at the end, and I will make sure to read it if you do!

You are really much too kind! I'm so glad that you liked Time is Running Out (and the ministories too!).

I was actually a bit nervous for you to read it because I really struggled to shape up a plot for that Nanowrimo and I wasn't sure whether it would hold up. Hence, of course, the cliffhanger, which was basically me hitting the 50,000 word mark and realizing I was actually only halfway through the story.

Thank you again for your kind words, though! And I especially love knowing which details, moments or characters people liked, so thanks for sharing. I'm especially delighted that you like Agatha and Crowley, and that you thought the sexual tension worked.

I want to learn more about Dean's actual thoughts about Chip and Icarus' relationship. - I've been discussing this very thing with [livejournal.com profile] seschat and hopefully I'll write a novella of sort focusing on the relationships, romantic or otherwise, as a sort of aside from the apocalypse.

I wonder if you'll bring back the female demon with the creepy smile again -- being exploded by Kezef only slowed her down, so maybe getting a knife through her chest won't do much more. - I might have killed her off (to be fair, it's a very special knife) but there's always ways around death. I really like writing her, though, so that's a lot of incentive to bring her back.

It sounds like you plan to write more - Yup, next November! Nanowrimo (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Novel_Writing_Month) is the kick-in-the-pants I need to get these written, although hopefully I'll write the novella before that.

Thanks again!

Gah, cheeky Mediafire, "blah blah blah you're using an old browser and we don't like you, blah blah blah." Part III and Part IV will forever be mysteries to me! OH NOES!

(I'm just going to assume that they were awesome; that seems logical.)

[identity profile] bending-sickle.livejournal.com 2012-12-07 08:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh noes indeed! I'll upload them to another host asap.

Does this work?

[identity profile] bending-sickle.livejournal.com 2012-12-07 08:31 pm (UTC)(link)
*ahem* Sorry, my brain's working on low gas today on account of a cold. I thought it was mediafire being a jerk again and deleting things everywhere. I could email you the PDFs if you'd like.

[identity profile] chaosvizier.livejournal.com 2012-12-07 08:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Email would work, if it's not too much of a bother. chaosvizier at hotmail is the name of the game!

Thank you!
